Story of karwachauth in hindi :

The first story of karwachauth:

Read this story on the day of Karva Chauth, you will get unbroken good fortune - Karva Chauth Katha

A long time ago, a moneylender had seven sons and a daughter. All the seven brothers loved their sister very much. Even they used to feed him first and then eat them himself. Once the sister was present in her maternal home on the auspicious day of KARWACHAUTH.

When her brothers returned from  work in the evening, they saw that their sister was very distraught. All the brothers sat down to eat food and started urging their sister to eat too, but the sister told that today she has a waterless fast of Karva Chauth and that food can be eaten only after seeing the moon and offering it Arghya. The younger brother did not like his sister being hungry and thirsty, so he made a fake moon and showed it. Sister gives Arghya and sits down to eat food.

When she puts the first piece in her mouth, she sneezes. When she puts the second piece, the hair comes out in it and as soon as she tries to put the third piece in her mouth, she gets the news of her husband's death. She gets shocked.

His sister-in-law informs him of the truth as to why this happened to him. The deities are angry with him for breaking the Karva Chauth fast in a wrong way and they have done so.

After knowing the truth, Karva decides that she will not allow her husband to be cremated and will revive him with her chastity. She sits near the dead body of her husband for a whole year. take care of him. She keeps on collecting the needle-like grass growing on top of the dead body.

After a year, the day of Karva Chauth comes again. All his sisters-in-law keep the fast of Karva Chauth. When the sisters-in-law come to seek blessings from her, she urges each sister-in-law to make her like a married woman, but every time the sister-in-law goes on requesting her to the next sister-in-law.

Thus, when the sixth-ranked sister-in-law comes, Karva repeats the same thing to her. This sister-in-law tells him that since his fast was broken because of the youngest brother, his wife has the power to bring your husband back to life, so when he comes you grab him and wait until he is your husband. Don't make him alive, don't leave him. Saying this she leaves.

Lastly comes the younger sister-in-law. Karva urges her to become a married woman too, but she starts hesitating. Seeing this, she grabs her tightly and asks her to bring her Suhag alive. Sister-in-law tries to get rid of him, scolds, but kava didn’t’ leave her.

In the end, seeing her penance, the sister-in-law breaks down and cuts off her little finger and pours the nectar from it into her husband's mouth.

Karva's husband immediately gets up saying Shri Ganesh-Sri Ganesh. In this way, by the grace of the Lord, Karva gets her husband back through her younger sister-in-law. Oh Shri Ganesh- Mother Gauri, just as Karva has got the boon of eternal marriage from you, so should all .

The second story of karwachauth:

Once Pandu's son Arjuna went to a mountain named Nilgiri to do penance. Draupadi was very upset here. On not getting any news of him, he meditated on Lord Krishna and expressed his concern.

Lord Krishna said - flowing, a similar question was once asked by Mother Parvati to Shankarji. Then Shankarji told Mother Parvati the fast of Karva Chauth. By observing this fast, women can protect their husband from every impending crisis in the same way as a Brahmin did.

In ancient times there was a brahmin. He had four boys and one beautiful girl. Once the girl was in the maternal house, then the fast of Karva Chauth was observed. He kept the fast lawfully. Been dehydrated all day. Didn't eat or drink anything, but his four brothers were worried that the sister must be thirsty, hungry, but the sister will take water only after moonrise. Brothers could not stay, they showed the sister the artificial moonrise as soon as evening.

A brother climbed a peepal tree with a sieve and lit a lamp and produced light through the sieve. Then the second brother gave a voice to the sister from below - Look sister, the moon has come out, worship and take food. Sister took the food. Her husband died as soon as she took the food.

Now she started mourning sadly, when Queen Indrani was coming out from there. He did not see his sorrow. The Brahmin girl grabbed his feet and asked the reason for his misery, then Indrani told - You broke the fast of Karva Chauth without seeing the moon, so got this trouble. Now if you keep fasting for the whole year regularly, then your husband will be alive.

Then she fasted on Chauth as instructed by Indrani, she again became Saubhagyavati. Therefore, every woman should observe this fast for the longevity of her husband.

Draupadi observed this fast and Arjuna returned safely after getting the desired results. Since then, Hindu women observe Karva Chauth fast for their unbroken relationship.
