  1. If any one dies in family during panchak then it is believed to be inauspicious and it is said that 5 more members may also face problems.
  2. If any soul leave the body during panchak then it doesn't get peace.
  3. If any one start work on panchak then he has to do that work 5 times. 
  4. It is not good to travel towards south direction during panchak. 
  5. It is also not good to buy or sell property on these dates. 
  6. It is also not good to buy furniture on panchak.
  7. It is also not good to start construction work.
  8. It is also not good to perform mundan of babies.
  9. Grih Pravesh i.e. entering in new house is also prohibited during panchak as per belief.
  10. If anyone dies in panchak then 5 idols of Kusha also burn with the body to avoid any problems to family members etc.
  11. There is another belief in which it is said that whatever work is performed during panchak will be repeated 5 times wheather it may be good or bad. 

What is panchak?

The combination of 5 nakshatra is known as panchak. These nakshatra comes every month and so panchak comes every month. 
The names of panchak nakshatras are as following -
  • Dhanishtha nakshatra
  • Shatbhisha nakshatra
  • Poorwabhadrapad nakshatra
  • Uttarabhadrapad nakshatra
  • Rewati nakshatra
The masters of these nakshatra are Aquarius and Pisces. Whenever moon passes through these two zodiacs then that time is called panchak times.
