When is it necessary to perform MOOL SHANTI POOJA ?

In different months, Mool resides in heaven, earth or the lower world/Pataal, so when Mool resides on earth and a child is born, Mool Shanti Puja is very necessary.

1. According to Hindu calendar, Mool resides in heaven in Magh, Bhadrapad, Ashadh and Ashwin months, so if a child is born in Mool in these months, then there is no need for Shanti Puja.
2. According to Hindu Panchang, Mool resides on earth in Kartik, Paush, Chaitra and Sawan months, so if a child is born in Mool Nakshatra in these months, then Shanti Puja must be performed.
